We are constantly buying estates and collections as well as participating in the secondary market for rare coins. As a result, we are able to bring you great savings on MS-63 PCGS and NGC certified Morgan Dollars. MS-63, also known as Choice Uncirculated is a great looking coin with some surface marks from other coins in the bag. It is strictly uncirculated, having no wear, and is particularly well struck. A certified coin is a coin which has been submitted to a third party for independent authentication and grading. It gives the buyer an extra layer of comfort because the grader is not involved in the transaction. The coin is then encapsulated in a tamper proof plastic case which protects the coin from damage and makes transport and resale far easier.

The Morgan Dollar was authorized by the Bland-Allison Act of 1878, partly as a political compromise to silver interests in the West. It was minted from 1878 through 1904 and then again in 1921 (another political boondoggle). The coin was minted in Philadelphia and at branch mints in Denver, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Carson City. George T. Morgan was the mint engraver whose design was used for the silver dollar. The coin is minted from 90% silver and contains .77 oz pure silver.

While Morgan Dollars are still fairly common, choice uncirculated examples are far rarer. Snap these up to add to your collection or be put away for a number of years.
